AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING A 12 FOOT ALLEY LYING BETWEEN <br />HIGH STREET AND QUEEN STREET FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE <br />EASTERN SIDE OF JAMESTOWN AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an application has been filed on behalf of Foster <br />Funeral Home, Portsmouth Redevelopmenn and Housing Authority <br />and the City of Portsmouth no close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter described alley; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, no inconvenience would result from the closing <br />and discontinuing of said alley. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE ~T ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter described alley <br />be closed and vacated as a public right-of-way. <br /> <br /> An alley of 12 foot in width, lying <br />between High Street and Queen Street from <br />its intersection with the eastern right- <br />of-way of Jamestown Avenue 90 feet uo the <br />point where said alley intersects the <br />line of property belonging to the City of <br />Portsmouth known as the "New I.C. Norcum <br />High School Site." <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on November 12, 1996. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
