resistance offered by duct work or any other local factors. A <br />fresh air inlet shall be provided near the ceiling. The gas <br />chlorinator shall be protected from direct sunlight. <br /> <br /> (d) An approved, self-contained gas mask for chlorine or <br />a gas mask with a supply of oxygen under positive pressure or <br />compressed air, either of which have been approved by the <br />Bureau of Mines, in addition 5o local approval by the fire <br />department, shall be provided where chlorine gas is being <br />utilized. The mask shall be located accessible to, but ounside <br />of, the gas chlorinator room. <br /> <br />Sec. 34-26. Water heating. <br /> <br /> Indoor public pools shall be provided with water heating <br />equipmen5 thermossanically controlled and capable of <br />maintaining the entire pool connenss between seventy (70) and <br />eighty-five (85) degrees Fahrenheit (twenty-one (21) degrees <br />Centigrade and twenty-nine and forty-eight one hundredths <br />(29.48) degrees Centigrade). All heated pools, spas and hot <br />tubs shall maintain a minimum halogen residual of nwo (2.0) ppm <br />or mg/1 at all times. Spas and hot tubs shall have, on <br />display, a clock and thermomener visible to occupanns. Spas <br />and pool waner temperature shall not exceed one hundred and <br />four (104) degrees Fahrenheit an any time that is occupied. <br /> <br />Sec. 34-27. Showers, water closets, lavatories, etc. <br /> <br /> Showers, water closets and lavatories shall be provided <br />for each sex, mn accordance with the Virginia Uniform Statewide <br />Building Code. The parm of the strucnure containing the <br />showers, water closets, urinals and lavatories shall be <br />designed so that these facilities shall be in the line of <br />travel used by the panrons prior no entering the pool area and <br />shall be provided with an entrance and a separate exit opening <br />directly to the pool deck; however, such exit shall not be near <br />the deep portion of the pool. <br /> <br /> Floor for all dressing rooms, showers, toilets and <br />lavatories shall be smooth but must have non-slip finish and <br />the room shall be ventilated so that the floors do non remain <br />damp or wen. Walls and floors for all dressing rooms, toilet <br />rooms and lavatories shall be of waterproof, easily cleanable <br />materials. <br /> <br /> (1) Dressing rooms. Separane dressing rooms may be <br />provided for both sexes. When provided, metal lockers, wire <br />baskets, hooks or other sanitary means of snorage of clothing <br />and personal accessories shall be provided. All storage <br />containers for clothing shall be kept clean and sanitary. <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br /> <br />
