(!0) The depth of water in pools shall be marked at <br />one-foot increments (30.48 centimeters) and au least every <br />twenty (.20) feet (6.1 meters) on both the horizontal deck <br />surface and veruical surfaces of the pool wall. Numerals and <br />letters shall be au least four (4) inches (10.16 centimeters) <br />zn height and have a good contrast with the pool walls and <br />deck. <br /> <br /> (11) Fixed and floating platforms in public swimming pools <br />shall be consnructed with an air space of at least one (1) foot <br />(0.3 meters) between the wauer surface and the underside of the <br />platform. <br /> <br /> (12) There shall be one (1) elevated lifeguard chair <br />provided for every public pool with a depth of over five (5) <br />feet (1.52 meuers) or two thousand (2,000) square feet (202.99 <br />meters2) of waner surface. An additional chair will be <br />required for each additional one thousand (1,000) square feet <br />(92.8 meters2) of water surface. <br /> <br />See. 34-25. Disinfection equipment. <br /> <br /> (a) Chemical feeding equipmenn. Means shall be provided <br />for regulating the feeding of chemicals no the waner mn the <br />recirculation system. The installation and use of mechanical, <br />automatically operated, positive displacemenn chemical feeders <br />or dye type chemical feeders is required. <br /> <br /> (b) Chlorinating equlpmenu. Ail public pools shall be <br />provided with approved chlorinating equipmenu which shall be <br />capable of applying a dose of not less than ten (10) ppm of <br />chlorine within the nurnover nime. <br /> <br /> (c) The use of chlorine gas as a disinfectant shall <br />require the approval of the administrative authority. Such <br />approval will be granted only after it has been demonstrated <br />Ehat the gas chlorinator room or area will be located in a <br />manner which will non adversely affect the safety and health of <br />patrons, pool personnel or the public. Chlorine gas feeding <br />equipmenm and chlorine gas cylinders and other hazardous <br />chemicals shall be installed in an enclosed space or room, <br />separate from the filter room and electrical panels and shall <br />be equipped with a door capable of being locked. The operating <br />gas cylinder shall be placed on an accurate scale and fastened <br />in place during snorage and use. Gas chlorinator rooms shall <br />be equipped with a forced draft fan exhausting no nhe outside <br />room from the floor level. The exhausn fan shall be capable of <br />providing sixty (60) air changes per hour against the <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br /> <br />
