Any person <br />desiring ~o pay the fine prior ~o the date sen for a court <br />hearing, as indicated on the notzce or violation of summons <br />issued for said violation, shall be required to provide proof <br />that a currenn city decal, as required by this article, has <br />been purchased. <br /> <br /> (f) If, after the issuance of a license plate, sticker or <br />decal under this article, the same is lost or stolen, the <br />penalty for operating a motor vehicle without a license plate, <br />sticker or decal shall be ten dollars ($10.00), if paid within <br />fourteen (14) days of the time that a summons is issued, or a <br />notice of violation is attached to the motor vehicle in <br />violation. Failure to pay the penalty within fourteen (14) <br />days will result in an additional processing fee of ten dollars <br />($10.00). Failure to pay the penalty within twenty-eight (28) <br />days shall be cause for a warrant to be issued pursuant to <br />Section 22-4 of this chapter. <br /> <br /> 2. That Section 22-567 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia (1988), be amended and reordained to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 22-567. Parking in public lanes. <br /> <br /> (a) No parking shall be permitted in public lanes in the <br />city at any time. <br /> <br /> (b) A violation of this section shall be punishable by <br />a fine not to exceed twenty-five dollars ($25.00). <br /> <br /> 3. That Section 22-582 (b) of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia (1988), be amended and reordained to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 22-582. Parking in spaces reserved for persons <br /> with disabilities. <br /> <br /> (b) It shall be the duty of each police officer or other <br />uniformed personnel employed by the City to enforce parking <br />regulations to give to any person operating a motor vehicle <br />parked in violation of this section a summons or parking ticket <br /> <br /> <br />
