e. Emerqency Medical Technician <br /> <br />Sworn personnel, excepn the Fire Chief, who have successfully <br />completed the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course, <br />shall recelve an allowance of S70 per month. <br /> <br />f. Hazardous Materials Team <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the Fire Department who-have successfully <br />completed the core classes as defined by the Deparnmen5 of <br />Emergency Services and are currently assigned no the <br />Hazardous Materials Team, shall receive an allowance of $50 <br />per month. <br /> <br />Fire Prevention Bureau, Traininq Bureau, and Administrative <br />Office <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the grades of Firefighter, Fire Lieuten- <br />ant, and Fire Captain, servln§ in the Fire Prevention Bureau, <br />Training Bureau, and Administrative Office, as desIgnated by <br />the Fire Chief, shall receive an allowance of $45 per month, <br />as approved in advance by 5he City Manager. <br /> <br />h. K-9 Cor~s <br /> <br />Any sworn Officer of the Police Department assigned to the <br />K-9 Corps, shall receive 3/4 of an hour's pay per day an the <br />prevailing minimum wage for ~all care and maintenance of the <br />assigned animal. <br /> <br />i. Tactical Response Unit <br /> <br />Any sworn officer assigned as <br />Police Tactical Response Unit <br />the amount of $50 per month. <br /> <br />one of the nine members of the <br />shall recemve an allowance in <br /> <br />j. Master Police Officers or Master Firefiqhters <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the grades of Police Officer and Fire- <br />fighter may receive special recognition as Master Police <br />Officers or Master Firefighters. This recognition shall <br />consist of a salary zncrease of 5% of current annual salary <br />for the duration of the period that the sworn person retains <br />the "Master" designation. <br /> <br />k. Education Allowance <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the ctassificatmons of Police Officer, <br />Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, Police Captain, Police <br />Ma]or, Assistant Police Chief, Firefighter, FirerLieutenant, <br />Fire Captain, and Fire Battalion Chief will receive an <br />Education Allowance in the amount of S500 per year for <br />attainment of an Associate's degree or $1,000 per year for <br />antainment of a Bachelor's degree~ <br /> <br />-8- <br /> <br /> <br />
