SECTION 7. COMPLEMENTS OF FIRE AND POLICE DEPARTMENTS <br /> <br />The authorized complement of the Fire Department shall be one <br />Chief, one Deputy Chief, seven Battalion Chiefs, thirty-three <br />Captains, thirty-nwo Lieutenants, and one hundred thirty-four <br />Firefighters, for a total sworn complement of two hundred <br />eight. <br /> <br />The authorized complement of the Police Department shall be <br />one Chief, three Assistant Chiefs, four Captains, thirteen <br />Lieutenants, twenty-six Sergeants, and nwo hundred four <br />Police Officers, for a total sworn complement of two hundred <br />fifty-one. <br /> <br />SECTION 8. SALARIES FOR UNCLASSIFIED POSITIONS <br /> <br />The annual salary rates of the following unclassified positions <br />shall be the amounn stated herein: <br /> <br />City Manager $98 <br />City Attorney 83 <br />City Assessor 68 <br />City Clerk 52 <br />Mayor 15 <br />Council Member 13 <br /> <br />251 <br />290 <br />627 <br />483 <br />000 <br />000 <br /> <br />In addition to the above annual salary, the City Manager is <br />hereby authorized the following: the use of a City automobile; an <br />annual paymenn in the amount of S5,276 into a deferred compen- <br />sation account esnablished for the City Manager in the Inter- <br />national City Managers Association Retirement Corporation; <br />reimbursement for the employee's share of health insurance; the <br />cost of a physical examination and associated laboratory tests <br />annually; a general expense allowance of $3,600 to be paid in <br />installments equally divided by the number of pay periods in the <br />year; and membership dues mn a service club. <br /> <br />SECTION 9. ADJUSTMENTS TO RETIREMENT ALLOWANCES <br /> <br />The adjustments of retirement allowances as prescribed in <br />Sections 30-122 and 30-243 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virglnza, (1988) shall be increased by 2.6%. <br /> <br />-9- <br /> <br /> <br />
