the~authority to make administrative salar~ adjustment~s, and to <br />crea~e additional classifications and Positions. The reasons for <br />adjustments shall inctude, but not be limited,to: <br /> <br /> Performance recognition, positive 0r negative; <br /> Approval of departmental requests for sPeCial salary actions, <br /> positive or,negative; ~ <br />· Correcti6n of verified errors in application of the ClasSifi- <br /> cation and Pay Plan. ~ <br /> <br />Recommendations approved by the City Manager shal! become effec- <br />tive on the date determined by the City Manager and after funds <br />have been included in the budget. ~ <br /> <br />The rate of pay set forth in Section 10, entitled Salary <br />SchedUle, shall be deemed the ~full compensation of the employee, <br />except that the value off, any allowances made to the employee by <br />the~City ,shalt also be cons~idefed a part of the employee's com- <br />pensation. ~ <br /> <br />a. On-call <br /> <br />Nonrexempt employees who are required to be available for <br />24-hour emergency service 'and/or repair,~ and who have been <br />~ecOmmended by the Department Head, reviewed by the FLSA <br />compliance Officer~ and approved by the City Manager, may <br />receive an allowance of $90 per month. Exempt employees will <br />not be eligible for this allowance. <br /> <br />Clothinq <br /> <br />Any sworn o!ffi'cer of the Fire or Police DePartments who is <br />required to wear civilian clothes in the regular performance <br />of official duties shall be paid a clothing allowance of $50 <br />per month, i ~ ~ <br /> <br />c. Handqun ~ ! ~ <br /> <br /> Sworn personnel~ except the Chief of Police, ~shall receive an <br /> allowance of.$70 per month as compensation for being required <br /> tO wear a handgun at all times and to properly maintain such <br /> weaponl <br /> <br />d. First Class Patrol Officers and Field Traininq Officers <br /> <br /> Police OffiCers serving as First Class Patrol Officers and <br /> Field T~ain~n~ Officers, as designated by the Chief of <br /> ~ PoliCe, shall~ receive an allowance of $45 per month as <br /> ~ approved in advance by the City Manager. <br /> <br />--7-- · <br /> <br /> <br />
