22 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF OF <br />TRANSPORTATION ESTABLISH AN URBAN HIGHWAY PROJECT TO IMPROVE IMPROVE <br />WEST NORFOLK ROAD FROM CHURCHLAND BOULEVARD TO CEDAR LANE. LANE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Virginia Department of <br />Transportation construction allocation procedures, it is <br />necessary that a request by Council resolution be made in <br />order that the Department program an urban highway project in <br />the City of Portsmouth; and the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, deems same to be in the City's best <br />interest. <br /> <br /> THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, requests the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation to establish a project for the improvement of <br />West Norfolk Road from Churchland Boulevard to Cedar Lane as a <br />two-lane road, a distance of approximately 1.3 miles. <br /> <br /> Adopted by Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at <br />a meeting held on February 28, 1995. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
