That the definition of "Director" contained in <br />Section 16.1-1 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia <br />(1988) be amended and reordained to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 16-1. Definitions. <br /> <br /> The following words, terms and phrases, when used in <br />articles I and II of this chapter, shall have the meanings <br />ascribed to them in this section, except where the context <br />clearly indicates a different meaning: <br /> <br />Director: The word "director" shall mean the director of parks, <br />recreation and general services of the city or the director's <br />authorized representative. <br /> <br /> 4. That a new Section 25-28.1 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth (1988) be enacted to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 25-28.1. "Director;" defined. <br /> <br /> Unless otherwise expressly provided, the term "director," <br />as used in this chapter, shall mean the director of parks, <br />recreation and general services. <br /> <br /> 5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of <br />its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on March 11, 1997. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
