ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-97-03 BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That the portion of the zoning map attached to and . made a part of the City of Portsmouth Zoning Ordinance which now zones as Residential RM-60, the property described in Petition for Zoning Amendment Number Z-97-03, is hereby amended and changed so as to show said property zoned as Downtown D-1-R Residential and Downtown D-l-0 Office, and that said property is hereby zoned as Downtown D-1-R Residential and Downtown D-l-0 Office. 2. That the property affected by this ordinance by being zoned from Residential RM-60 to Downtown D-1-R Residential, is described as follows: Beginning at a point approximately 349 feet west of the southwestern right-of-way of Effingham and South Street; thence in a southerly direction approximately 780 feet to the northern right-of-way of Interstate 264; thence in a southwesterly direction approximately 500 feet; thence in a northerly direction approximately 460 feet; thence in a northwesterly direction approximately 340 feet; thence in an easterly direction approximately 580 feet to the point of beginning. 3. That the property affected by this ordinance by being zoned from Residential RM-60 to Downtown D-1-O Office, is described as follows: Beginning at a point approximately 150 feet west of the southwestern right-of-way of Effingham and South Street, thence in a southerly direction approximately 460 feet; thence in a southwesterly direction approximately 430 feet; thence in a northerly direction approximately 780 feet to the southern right-of way of South Street; thence in an easterly direction approximately 199 feet to the point of beginning.
