AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH CLASSIFICATION AND <br />PAY PLAN WITH RESPECT TO THE ANNUAL SALARY RATE FOR THE CITY <br />CLERK. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 8 of the City of Portsmouth <br />Classification and Pay Plan, as established by Ordinance <br />1997-31, be amended and reordained to set the annual salary <br />rate of the City Clerk at $45,000. <br /> <br /> 2. That the effective date of said salary rate shall be <br />August 1, 1997. <br /> <br /> 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect on the date of <br />its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on August 12, 1997. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
