R-97-48 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER ALL RIGHT, TITLE AND <br />INTEREST THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH MAY HAVE IN THE CLOSED PORTIONS <br />OF RANDOLPH STREET AND NASHVILLE AVENUE. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized <br />to convey to Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority all <br />right, title and interest which the City of Portsmouth has or <br />may have, as a result of the closure of portions of Randolph <br />Street and Nashville Avenue, said property to be described as <br />follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at the northwest intersection of <br />Randolph Street (also or formerly known as Roanoke Avenue and <br />Henry Street) and Nashville Avenue; thence along the western <br />right of way line of Nashville Avenue North 5degrees 21' 32" East a <br />distance of 60.27 feet to a point; thence running South 84degrees 40' <br />40" East a distance of 60 feet to the eastern right of way line <br />of Nashville Avenue; thence runnlng along the eastern right of <br />way line of Nashville South 5degrees 21'32" West a distance of 162.88 <br />feet to a point; thence South 87° 15' 41" West a distance of <br />60.61 feet to the western right of way line of Nashville <br />Avenue; thence running along the western rlght of way line of <br />Nashville Avenue North 5° 21' 32" East a distance of 50.50 feet <br />to the southwest intersection of Randolph Street {also or <br />formerly known as Roanoke Avenue and Henry Street) and <br />Nashville Avenue; thence running along the southern right of <br />way line of Randolph Street (also or formerly known as Roanoke <br />Avenue and Henry Street) South 87degrees 15'41" West a distance of <br />221.94 feet to a point; thence running North 16degrees 49' 44" West a <br />distance of 61.86 feet to the northern right of way line of <br />Randolph Street (also or formerly known as Roanoke Avenue and <br />Henry Street); thence running along the northern right of way <br />line of Randolph Street (also or formerly known as Roanoke <br />Avenue and Henry Street) North 87degrees 15' 41" East a distance of <br />245.54 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted at a meeting of the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia held on October 28, 1997. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
