R-97-41 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY A PARCEL OF <br />REAL PROPERTY AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF HIGH STREET AND CEDAR <br />LANE TO THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth is the owner of a parcel of <br />land located at the northwest corner of High Street and Cedar <br />Lane, to which it has retained title for the widening of Cedar <br />Lane by the Virginia Department of Transportation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Transportation has now <br />requested that said parcel be conveyed to the Commonwealth of <br />Virginia. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia that the City Manager be, and he hereby is <br />authorized to convey to the Commonwealth of Virginia all that <br />certain piece or parcel of land situate in the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia being Parcel 003 as shown on sheets 3 and <br />4 of the plans for Cedar Lane, State Highway project <br />U000-124-V04, RW-201 and beginning on the west (left) side of <br />the existing centerline of Cedar Lane from the existing North <br />right of way line of present High Street opposite approximate <br />Station 11+15 to a point in the lands of the landowner- opposite <br />approximate Station 13+96, and containing 0.06 acre, more or <br />less land for such consideration as he shall deem appropriate. <br /> <br />Adopted at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia held on September 9, 1997. <br /> <br /> TESTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
