within the previous eighteen (18) months. <br /> (f) Conviction of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, <br /> any narcotic drug, or any self-administered intoxicant or drug. <br /> (g) Two (2) convictions of reckless driving or three (3) convictions of speeding <br /> within the preceding twenty-four (24) months. <br /> (h) Conviction of hit and run involving a motor vehicle. <br /> (i) Conviction of violating of any law or ordinance relating to prostitution, sexual <br /> intercourse, pandering, soliciting for immoral purposes or permitting the <br /> occupants of a public vehicle to engage in such practices or to the transporting of <br /> passengers to houses of ii1 fame, assignation or prostitution. <br /> (j) Willfully charging and collecting fares in excess of the lawful rates prescribed by <br /> this article. <br /> (k) Accumulation of twelve or more Department of Motor Vehicles demerit points <br /> against the state driver's license of the permit holder. <br /> (l) Continued failure to comply with the provisions of this article or any other laws or <br /> ordinances. <br /> (m) Violation of any law or ordinance relating to the sale or handling of intoxicating <br /> beverages. <br /> (n) Suspension or revocation of the driver's state driver's license. <br /> <br /> The chief of police, when he or she deems it to be in the best interest of the public health, <br />safety or general welfare, may revoke a public vehicle driver's permit. <br /> <br />Sec. 37-103. Same--Notice. <br /> <br /> Upon the revocation of a public vehicle driver's permit, the chief of police shall cause a <br />notice in writing of such revocation to be given to the permittee. The notice shall be sent to the <br />address shown on his application for the permit and a copy of the notice shall also be sent to the <br />public vehicle owner employing the permittee. Compliance with this section shall constitute <br />good and sufficient notice of the revocation. <br /> <br />Sec. 37-104. Same--Return of permit. <br /> <br /> After the revocation of a public vehicle driver's permit, and notice of the revocation, the <br />permit shall be returned to the chief of police within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt of the <br />notice. <br /> <br />Sec. 37-105. Issuance of new permit to person whose permit has been revoked. <br /> <br /> No person whose public vehicle driver's permit has been revoked under the provisions of <br />this chapter shall again be issued such a permit unless, upon the written presentation of reasons <br />satisfactory to the chief of police, the chief of police may order such new permit to be issued. <br /> <br /> <br />
