(a) Conviction of any felony involving a crime against the person or conviction of <br /> any crime of violence or any offense involving the possession or use of a weapon. <br /> (b) Conviction of any felony involving an illegal controlled substance. <br /> (c) Conviction of any felony involving a crime against property within the previous <br /> ten (10) years. <br /> (d) Conviction of any misdemeanor involving moral turpitude within the previous <br /> five (5) years. <br /> (e) Conviction of any felony or of two or more Class 1 or Class 2 misdemeanors <br /> within the previous eighteen (i 8) months. <br /> (f) Conviction of an offense of hit and run involving a motor vehicle. <br /> (g) Conviction of a first offense of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence <br /> of alcohol or any narcotic drug or any other self-administered intoxicant or drug <br /> within the previous five (5) years or conviction of a second or subsequent such <br /> offense. <br /> (h) Two (2) convictions of reckless driving or three (3) convictions of speeding <br /> within the preceding twenty-four (24) months. <br /> (i) Suspension or revocation of the driver's state driver's license. <br /> (j) Conviction of any law or ordinance relating to prostitution, sexual intercourse, <br /> pandering, or soliciting for immoral purposes. <br /> (k) Accumulation of twelve or more Deparunem of Motor Vehicles demerit points <br /> against the applicant's state driver's license. <br /> (l) Conviction of any law or ordinance relating to the sale or handling of intoxicating <br /> beverages. <br /> <br /> The chief of police, when he or she deems it to be in the best interest of the public health, <br />safety or general welfare, may deny an application for a public vehicle driver's permit. <br /> <br /> Upon denial of the public vehicle driver's permit, the applicant shall wait sixty (60) days <br />before re-applying. <br /> <br />Sec. 37-102. Revocation--Generally. <br /> <br /> The chief of police shall revoke a public vehicle driver's permit upon receiving a record <br />of the conviction of a permittee of any of the following: <br /> <br /> (a) Conviction of any felony involving a crime against the person or conviction of <br /> any crime of violence or involving the possession or use of a weapon. <br /> (b) Conviction of any felony involving an illegal controlled substance. <br /> (c) Conviction of any felony involving a crime against property within the previous <br /> ten (10) years. <br /> (d) Conviction of any crime involving moral turpitude within the previous five (5) <br /> years. <br /> (e) Conviction of any felony or of two or more Class 1 or Class 2 misdemeanors <br /> <br /> 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
