(a) Failure to operate a public vehicle as specified in the certificate. <br /> (b) Failure to maintain any vehicle utilized under the certificate in good working <br /> condition, appearance and repair. <br /> (c) Failure to pay the personal property taxes, license taxes or other fees or taxes due <br /> to the city or to the state. <br /> (d) Failure to maintain any liability or other insurance required by law. <br /> (e) Failure to report any accident required by state law. <br /> (f) Continued failure to comply with the provisions of this article or any other law or <br /> ordinance regulating the operation of public vehicles and public vehicles within <br /> the city. <br /> <br /> The chief of police, where he or she deems it to be in the best interest of the public health, <br />safety or general welfare, may also suspend a certificate. The holder of a certificate shall be <br />notified in writing whenever it is deemed necessary to suspend a certificate: Upon failure of the <br />owner or operator to rectify any condition described above or to comply with any administrative <br />requirements of this division within ninety (90) days from the date of the suspension, the <br />certificate of public convenience and necessity shall be revoked. <br /> <br />Sec. 37-69. Revocation by repeal of this division. <br /> <br /> Certificates issued under this division may be revoked at any time by the repeal of this <br />division. <br /> <br />Sec. 37-70. Records. <br /> <br /> There shall be kept in the office of the chief of police or such other place that the chief of <br />police may designate a complete record of all certificates of public convenience and necessity <br />issued under this division and all renewals, suspensions and revocations thereof. <br /> <br />Sec. 37-71. Revocation generally. <br /> <br /> Any certificate of public convenience and necessity issued under this division shall be <br />revoked by the chief of police for any of the following grounds: <br /> <br /> (a) Employment by the holder of any driver whose public vehicle driver's permit or <br /> state driver's license is revoked or suspended. <br /> (b) Using or knowingly permitting the use ora public vehicle for the illegal sale or <br /> purchase of alcoholic beverages or any controlled substance. <br /> (c) Permitting the use of a public vehicle, which is covered by a certificate, for <br /> prostitution, soliciting or pandering or knowingly permitting a public vehicle to <br /> transport persons to houses of ill fame. <br /> (d) Continued failure to comply with the provisions of this article or any other <br /> law or ordinance regdiating the operation of public vehicles within the city. <br /> (e) Conviction of any felony involving a crime against the person or conviction of <br /> <br /> 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
