operated, the driver of each vehicle, the origin and destination of each trip made by each vehicle, <br />the time of each such trip and the mount charged for each such trip. The dispatcher's log shall <br />be delivered to the police department, upon demand by the chief of police, for inspection by the <br />chief of police. All such dispatcher's logs shall be preserved for at least twelve (12) months from <br />the date of final entry and shall be available for inspection at all reasonable times by the chief of <br />police. <br /> <br />Sees. 37-46--37-60. Reserved. <br /> <br />DIVISION 2. CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY <br /> <br />Sec. 37-61. Required. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful to operate, or cause to be operated, within the city any public vehicle <br />unless a certificate of public convenience and necessity therefor has been issued pursuant to this <br />division. <br /> <br />Sec. 37-62. Applications. <br /> <br /> All applications for certificates of public convenience and necessity required by this <br />division shall be made in writing to the chief of police upon forms prescribed and to be provided <br />by the chief of police. The application shall contain the name, date of birth, social security <br />number, sex and residence of the applicant. <br /> <br />Sec. 37-63. Examination; furnishing of information. <br /> <br /> Each applicants for a certificate shall undergo an examination satisfactory to the chief of <br />police as to his or her qualifications and knowledge of traffic laws and ordinances, shall furnish <br />such information as may be required concerning the make, description and condition of the <br />vehicle(s) proposed to be operated, shall make such vehicle(s) available for inspection and <br />approval for use by the chief of police, and shall furnish information as to financial ability, <br />character and responsibility. <br /> <br />Sec. 37-64. Ineligible persons. <br /> <br /> No certificate of public convenience and necessity shall be granted or renewed for any <br />person under the age of eighteen (18) years or for a person who is not morally or mentally fit to <br />receive the same or who has been a repeated and persistent violator of the criminal, traffic or <br />safety laws and ordinances of the city or any state. The chief of police shall not issue or renew <br />any certificate of public convenience and necessity if the applicant meets the following denial <br />criteria: <br /> <br />(a) Conviction of any felony involving a crime against the person or conviction of <br />any crime of violence or any offense involving the possession or use of a weapon. <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
