AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 19 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (1988), BY AMENDING THE TITLE THEREOF AND BY ADDING THERETO A NEW ARTICLE IV PERTAINING TO CITY MUSEUMS AND FEES. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1 That the title of Chapter 19 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (1988) be amended and reordained to read "Libraries and Museums." 2. That a new Article IV of Chapter 19 be enacted and entitled "Museums." 3. That a new Section 19-150 of the Code of the City of Portsrnouth, Virginia (1988) be enacted to read as follows: Sec. 19-150. Museum Admission Fees. The following daily fees shall be charged for adntission to city museums: (a) Children's Museum of Virginia (1) Regular admission ................................ $ 5.00 (2) Student admission (Portsmouth Public School group, with supervising adult) ...... None (3) One supervising adult per group of eight students in (2) .............................. None (4) Other private and public school groups, per child, with supervising adult ..................................................... 5.00 (5) One supervising adult per group of eight students in (4) ............................... None (b) Other museums, each, per person ..................... 1.00 (c) Keypass Discount Program: Upon payment of a fee of six dollars ($6.00), a person shall be entitled to admittance to all City of Portsmouth museums during normal working hours on the date of payment. (d) Members of the Portsmouth Museums and/or the Friends of the Naval Shipyard Museum shall, upon providing proof of active membership, be entitled to admission without charge to any City of Portsmouth museum.
