DIVISION 2. ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />Sec. 2-720. Established. <br /> <br /> There is hereby established an advisory board to be known as the behavioral <br />healthcare services advisory board. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-721. Composition; appointment of the board. <br /> <br /> The board shall have nine members appointed by the city council. Appointments <br />to the board shall be broadly representative of the community. Three members of the <br />board shall be consumers of behavioral healthcare services or family members of <br />consumers. Of those three members, at least one shall be a consumer receiving such <br />services. <br /> <br /> Members of the board shall serve without compensation. <br /> <br /> The director shall serve as the executive director of the board. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-722. Terms of members. <br /> <br /> The term of office of each member of the board shall be for three (3) years from <br />the first day of July of the year of appointment. Of the original board, three members <br />shall be appointed for a term of one year, three members shall be appointed for a term of <br />two years, and three members shall be appointed for three years. At the expiration of the <br />original terms, their successors shall be appointed for terms of three years. The members <br />shall hold office during their respective terms and until their successors are appointed and <br />qualified. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-723. Filling of vacancies; limitations on members of the board of directors <br />serving successive terms. <br /> <br /> Vacancies on the board shall be filled for unexpired terms in the same manner as <br />original appointments. No person shall be eligible to serve more than two (2) successive <br />terms; provided, that any persons heretofore or hereafter appointed to fill vacancies may <br />serve two (2) additional successive terms. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-724. Election of officers. <br /> <br /> The board shall annually elect a chairman, a vice chairman, and a secretary from <br />among its members. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-725. Adoption of rules, regulations, and bylaws. <br /> <br /> <br />
