R-98-48 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY A <br />PARCEL OF LAND LYING EAST OF THE EASTERN TERMINUS OF <br />GLASGOW STREET TO PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the <br />City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey to Portsmouth Redevelopment <br />and Housing Authority a parcel of land described as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> All that certain piece, or parcel of land, lying sitaate and being <br /> in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, being all that portion of Glasgow <br /> Street, if extended eastwardly, which lies east of the eastern tenuinus of <br /> Glasgow Street ( now closed and vacated), to the Pierhead Line along <br /> the Eastern Branch of the Elizabeth River as established by the United States <br /> Army Corps of Engineers. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute <br />such deeds, or other doeumems as may be necessary m give full effect to said <br />conveyance, upon such terms and conditions as he shall deem to be in the best interest of <br />the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> This resolution shall take effect upon its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia held on <br />November 10, 1998. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
