AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING A PORTION OF HENRY STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Faith Evangelical Church has made application ro close a portion of Henry <br />Street, as hereafter described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at a meeting held on July 10, 2000. <br />recommended approval of the closure and vacation of said portion of Hemy Street; and <br /> <br /> WHERAS, notice of the proposed closure and vacation has been given the adjoining <br />property owners in accordance with Section 15.2-2006 of the Code of Virginia, as amended. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Citv of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia that the of Henry Street be closed and vacated as a public street and right of way as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> All that certain portion of Henry Street, being situate in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, said portion lying west of the west right of way line of Elm Avenue, and extending <br />westerly 105 feet, more or less, to its western point of termination in the block bounded by Elm <br />Avenue, Lincoln Street, Camden Avenue and Randolph Street. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City manager is hereby authorized to make and <br />execute such deeds of conveyance or other documents as may be necessary and appropriate to <br />give effect to the vacation and closure implemented by this ordinance. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />August 8, 2000. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
