SECTION 8. SALARIES FOR UNCLASSIFIED POSITIONS <br /> <br />The annual salary rates of the following unclassified positions shall be the amount <br />stated herein: <br /> <br /> January 1, 2000 <br /> City Manager $ <br /> City Attorney $ <br /> City Assessor $ <br /> City Clerk $ <br /> Mayor $ 21,000 <br /> Council Member $ 18,900 <br /> <br />In addition to the base salary, the City Manager is hereby authorized the <br />following: $_______car allowance; $_______ general expenses and $_______ for <br />health insurance. <br /> <br />The City Attorney, in addition to his base salary, is authorized the following: <br />$_______ in family health insurance. <br /> <br />SECTION 9. ADJUSTMENTS TO RETIREMENT ALLOWANCES <br /> <br />No adjustment of retirement allowances, as prescribed in Sections 30-122 and 30- <br />243 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, (1988), is proposed for Fiscal <br />Year 2001. <br /> <br />Cost of living adjustments granted on July 1, 1996, July 1, 1997, July 1, 1998 and <br />July 1, 1999 will be made permanent and added to the current base pension. <br /> <br /> <br />
