R-01-80 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH'S 2002 <br />LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS TO BE PRESENTED TO THF, PORTSMOUTH <br />DELEGATION AND THE MEMBERS OF THE VIRGINIA GENERAL <br />ASSEMBLY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia General Assembly deals with a broad range of issues <br />that affect local governments both directly and indirectly; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has certain concerns which deal with both <br />local governments and Portsmouth specifically; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, these concerns and issues need to be made known to Portsmouth's <br />General Assembly Delegation so that they may be transmitted for consideration by the <br />Legislature. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth endorses the attached legislative proposals for the 2002 General Assembly <br />Session and directs that both this resolution and the legislative proposals be forwarded to <br />the Portsmouth General Assembly Delegation. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />November 27, 2001. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
