R-01-78 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY A VARIABLE <br />WIDTH WATER TRANSMISSION EASEMENT TO THE CITY OF NORFOLK IN TIlE <br />AREA ADJACENT TO CLIFFORD STREET. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City <br />Manager be, and he hereby is, authohzed to grant and convey a variable width water <br />transmission line easement of approximately 30' in width to the City of Norfolk, Virginia for the <br />purpose of relocation of the City of Norfolk's 30" water transmission line, a portion of which is <br />now located in Clifford Street as shown on that certain plat entitled "Proposed Permanent Utility <br />Easement Exhibit for the City of Norfolk". <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute <br />such deeds, plats and other documents necessary to effect the conveyance of property herein <br />authorized between the City of Portsmouth and the City of Norfolk as may be required, and to <br />require such deeds and documents to contain such other provisions as he may deem appropriate <br />and in the best interest of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia held on <br />November 27,2001. <br /> <br />TESTE: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
