December . 14, 1993 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, December 14, 1993, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Lee E. King, Johnny M. Clemons, John H. Epperson, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., James C. Hawks, Cameron C. Pitts, V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney. 93-476 ' The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Council Chan~ber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 14, 1993, for the purpose of a Public Work Session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." 93-477 - The following items were discussed in the Public Work SesSion: 1. Urban Road Funds/Process Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Consideration of appointments to Boards and Commission by the City COuncil as permitted under Subsection (A) (1); (2) DiscUssion or consideration of the use of publicly held prOperty in the downtOwn, midtown and Churchland~port!ons of the City as permitted under subsection (A) (3). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion of Mr. Epperson, and seconded by Mr. King pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council. The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. On motion meeting adjourned. APPROVED
