<br /> "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CO,FEY TO LOVING & GAY FUNERAL
<br /> HOME cERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY ADJACENT TO CHURCHLAND ACADEMY.
<br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth on July 25, 1978,
<br />the City Manager was authorized to advertise and receive bids for the hereinafter described
<br />property on such terms and subject to such minimum bid restrictions as he deemed proper; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the highest bid received for such property was from Loving & Gay Funeral Home in
<br />the amount of $21,955.00 for use of the property in expansion of existing Funeral Home faci-
<br />lities; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth hereby deems that conveyance of the pro-
<br />perty for the price and purpose stated in the bid of Loving & Gay Funeral Home is acceptable.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that
<br /> the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey the following described property
<br /> to Loving & Gay Funeral Home:
<br /> All those certain lots, pieces or p~rcels of land, situate, lying and being
<br /> in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, known, numbered and designated as Lots 25,
<br /> 26 and 27, Block 21, on the plat of Churchland Land Company, recorded in the
<br /> Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia.
<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized_to complete
<br /> all transactions and execute all documents incident to such conveyances."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Oast, to close nominations, and the above members
<br />were elected to Boards/Commissions as designated, and was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br /> 78-315 Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Gray, that a resolution be prepared for
<br />recognition for being upgraded to ISO-3 from ISO-~ on the protection classification of the
<br />municipal fire protection survey presented to the City of Portsmouth, and was adopted by un-
