<br />egress and ingress, and was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes, the following resolution was adopted
<br />and by the following vote: '

<br />"A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR A GROUP HOUSING PROJECT PURSUANT TO
<br />SECTION 40-S5 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, AS
<br />AMENDED, THE PROJECT BEING KNOWN AS "SOUTHSIDE GARDEN APARTMENTS" AND
<br />DESIGNATED AS GHP-?8-2.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority has made application pursuant
<br />to Section 40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, as amended, for the
<br />granting and approval of a group housing project known as "Southside Garden Apartments" (GHP-
<br />?8-2); and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the application of same has been determined by the Planning Commission to admit
<br />the requirements of Section 40-55 except as hereinafter stated; and
<br />
<br /> I*~EREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed such application and the site plans submit~
<br />therewith and has recommended approval of said application, subject to the conditions hereinaft~
<br />stated; and
<br />
<br /> }~EREAS, the developer has been mnformed that approval of a group housing project pursuan'
<br />to said Section 40-SS of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, grants only an exemptim
<br />from certain dimensional requirements for ~esidences as stated in said Section 40-55 and
<br />does not constitute a waiver of any other requirements embodied in the Subdivision Ordinance,
<br />Zoning Ordinance, the Code of the City of ~ortsmouth and any other applicable State or Federal
<br />laws; and
