<br />"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY
<br />TO THE PORTSMOUTH INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (PONDEROSA STREET).
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth ow~s certain hereinafter described property on Ponderosa
<br />Street in the Hattonsville Industrial area; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, negotiations have developed for the sale and development of said property and
<br />in accordance with the industrial development of the area; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority is a political subdivision of
<br />the Commonwealth~of V{rginia; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Section 2.09(c) of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, pro-
<br />vides that the City of Portsmouth may convey ral property to the Commonwealth of Virginia or
<br />political subdivision thereof, without advertising or receiving bids therefor.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that
<br />the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey the following described property
<br />to the Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority:

<br /> PARCEL I
<br />
<br /> All that certain tract, piece or parceI of land, containing 1.355 acres,
<br />having been conveyed to the City of Portsmouth by deed dated March 28, 1962
<br />from Tarra Corporation, recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court
<br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, in Deed Book 381, Page 569.

<br />PARCEL II
<br />
<br /> All that certain tract, piece or parcel of land, containing 1.88 acres,
<br />more or less, having been conveyed to the City of Portsmouth by Order dated
<br />July 20, 1962 recorded in the aforesaid Clerk's Office in Deed Book 381,
<br />Page 610. ~

<br />PARCEL III
<br />
<br /> All that cer,tain tract, piece or parcel of land, containing 6,000 square
<br />feet of lan~; mb~e or less, conveyed to the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, by
<br />deed dated March 28, 1962, from Tarfa Corporation, recorded in the aforesaid
<br />Clerk's Office in Deed Book 381, Page 571.
<br />
<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the conveyance of this property shall be
<br />by the acreage recited hereig; and that the boundaries of such conveyance
<br />by a physical survey of the subject property.

<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to
<br />execute such documents as may be necessary to complete the conveyance of the subject

<br />"Consideration of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to advertise and
<br />for certain City owned property designated as Lot 9, Block 50, in the Plat
<br />of Cradock (70 Morris Street).
<br />
<br /> The City has received a request for the purchase of a City owned lot at 70 Merris
<br />Street in Cradock for the purpose of constructing a residential dwelling. This lot was
<br />given to the City in exchange for delinquent real estate taxes in March of 1970. The
<br />vacant property has been regiewed by the City Departments and has been declared surplus.
<br />The City Manager recommends adoption."

<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth. presently owns a oarcel of property located on Morris
<br />Street, more particularly described as follows:

<br /> City of Portsmouth, Virginia, known, numbered and designated as Lot 9, Block 50

<br /> S1, 1919", recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of
<br /> Che~aFeak~, V~Fginia, in Map Book 17, Pages 93-100, both inclusive.

<br /> WHEREAS, said land is no longer needed by the City of Portsmouth and it is, therefore,
<br />declared to be surplus property.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the
<br />that the City Manager be, and he hereby is,
<br />the hereinabove described property on such
<br />
<br />Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br />authorized to advertise and receive bids for
<br />terms and subject to such minimum bid restrictions
