0.42 <br /> <br />August 10, 1999 <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Benn, to adopt the following <br />resolUtion, and was adopted by the following vote:, <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION APPOINTING TWO COMMISSIONERS AND TWO ALTERNATES <br />TO THE TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT COMMISSIO~N OF HAMPTON ROADS. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Dr. <br />James W. Holley, III, Mayor of the City of PortsmOuth, and City Councilman Cameron C. <br />Pitts be appointed commissioners of the Transportation District Commission of <br />Hampton Roads and the City Manager Ronald W. Massie and Robert P. Creecy be <br />appointed as alternates to the Commission. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the commissioners and the alternates shall <br />serve in their respective positions at the pleasure of the City Council." <br /> <br />Ayes: Berm, Griffin, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst ~' .. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstained: Holley <br /> <br />99 - 190 Items Submitted by City Council <br /> <br />No items were submitted <br /> <br />99 -191 Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to change the rules of <br />order to allow Mr. Whitehead an additiona,l three minutes to.sPeak, a~ w@sad:Opted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br />1. Louis Whitehead, 4415 County Street,, Portsmouth Central Labor Council President, <br /> spoke in regardS to the City Attorney s office hiring an outside attorney's office in <br /> Norfolk and regarding public safety employees pensions. <br /> <br />2. Mark A. Geduldig-Yatrofsky, 363 Middle Street, spoke on citizen involvement and <br /> elaboration by Council on agenda items. In favor of televised meetings. Suggested <br /> public discussions on economic development projects for citizens to participate in. <br /> <br />3. Elizabeth J.
