Griffin, Sr., Cameron C. Pitts, *P. <br />Ward Robinett, Jr., J. Thomas Benr~ Ill, William E. Moody, Jr., Charles B. Whitehurst <br />Sr., City Manager Ronald W. Massie, City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. <br /> <br />99 ~ 185 - The folloWing call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Counci <br />Chamber, 801 Crawford Street, 6th floor, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 1999, for the <br />purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />99 - 186 - The following items were discussed in Public Work Session: <br /> <br />1. Introduction of Robert M. Boyd, CEO, First Virginia Bank <br /> <br />2. Regional Transportation Priorities <br /> <br />3. St. Juliens Annex Briefing <br /> <br />4. Retreat Retrospective <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Griffin, to go into Closed Meeting <br />pursUant to provisions of Section 2.1,344 of the Code of Virginia, to discuss Or consider <br />the following: .. <br /> <br /> - Discussion of appointments by Council to boards and commissions, as <br />authorized by paragraph 1. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant to Section 2.1- <br />344.1 of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Member's <br />knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: <br /> <br />1.
