Z83 Motion $2,936 from 79-111 approved on of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Oast, that authorization be granted to transfer th~ Grants Contingency Account,as requested, and was adopted by unanimous vote. - On motion~of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Early, the following ordinance was first reading, and by unanimous vo~e: "AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $13,000 FROM THE CAPITAl IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR LIGHTS ON THE ATHLETIC FIELD A7 CHURCHLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND TENNIS COURTS AT WOODRO~- WILSON HIGH SCHOOL." was 79-112 On motio~ of Mr. Elliott adopted, and by the following vote: "A RESOLUTION CHANGING THE PUBLIC APRIL 23, 1979. and seconded by Mr. Gray, the fol]owing~resolution HEARING SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 9, 1979, TO and WHEREAS, the First Citizen's Medal Award dinner is scheduled to be held on April 9, 1979 and to honor the recipient WHEREAS, the Public Hearing is scheduled for the same date; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Portsmouth wishes of the First Citizen's Medal Award of the year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Public Hearing scheduled for April 9, 1979 is changed to April 23, 1979." Jones, City Treasurer: "Attached hereto is a list of Delinquent Personal Property Taxes for the Taxable Year 1978 in the amount of $215,237.09. The tax is not broken down this year as it came from Data Process with the one out- standing amount. The original of this list and the Personal Property Books for 197~ have this date been turned over to Mr. E.K.Rabey III,the Delinquent Tax Collector." Motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. Elliott, the report to be received as informatio~ and the list to be referred to the Delinquent Tax Office, was adopted by ananimous vote.
