287 <br /> <br />September 11, 1979 <br /> <br /> At a called meeting of the Portsmouth City Council held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />September 11, 1979, there were present: <br /> <br />Jack P. Barnes, E. Saunders Early, Jr., J~ Robert Gray, James W. Holley, III, <br />Robert T. Williams, City Manager, Gordon B. Taytoe, Jr., City Attorney. <br /> <br />Absent: Ben A. Beamer, Sr., Richard J. Davis, Edward L. Oast, Jr. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Holley presided in the absence of Mayor DaVis. <br /> <br />79-331 The £ollowing call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a called meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chamber, <br />at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 1979, to consider a motion to hold an executive <br />session for the purpose of discussing the following: <br /> <br />(A) USE OF PUBLIC PROPERTY <br /> <br />(1) Waterfront <br />(2) Proposed Sale of Property <br />(3) Coast Guard Base <br />(4) Proposed Public Improvements <br /> <br />Olde Towne <br /> <br />(B) LEGAL MATTER <br /> <br />(1) Water Contract <br />(2) Pending Litigation <br />(3) Personnel Contract <br />(4) City Jail <br /> <br />(C) PERSONNEL <br /> <br />(1) A Personnel Matter <br /> <br />(D) BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br />(1) Board of Appeals <br />(2) Board of Electrical Examiners <br />(3) Citizens Advisory Committee <br />(4) Emergency Medical Services Commission <br /> <br />(6) Retirement Board <br />(7) SEV~P <br />(8) STAIV~. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Gray and seccnded by Mr. Early, the call for the executive session <br />was adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Early, Gray, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED - <br /> <br />Vice Mayor <br /> <br />Councilman Oast was present for the executiv~,session. <br /> <br /> <br />
