<br />At-a regular meeting of the City Council held on December 11, 1979, there were present:

<br /> Rev. Robert N. Huffman, Rector, Trinity Episcopal Church, opened the meeting with prayer,
<br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
<br />
<br />Mayor Davis welcomed all visitors in attendance.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes, minutes of the called meeting of November
<br />20, 1979; minutes of the regular meeting of November 20, 1979, to be approved as received,
<br />and was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> 79-430 The following ordinance approved on first reading at the regular meeting of
<br />November 20, 1979, was taken up and read:
<br />
<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $5,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR DESIGN
<br />OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS FOR MIMOSA COVE, LAMPER ROAD AND SOUTH PARK MANOR."
<br />
<br /> On motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mr. Gray, the ordinance was adopted, and by
<br />the following vote:
<br />
<br />Ayes: Barnes, Beamer, Gray, Holley, Oast, Davis
<br />Nays: None
<br />
<br /> 79-432 The following ordinance approved on first reading at the regular meeting of
<br />November 20, 1979, was taken up and read:

<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $10,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR REPAIRS
<br />TO DAMS AND SPILLWAYS FOR LAKE MEADE AND LAKE COHOON."
<br />
<br /> On mOtion of Mt.Gray and seconded by Mr. Beamer, the ordinance was adopted, and by the
<br />following vote:

<br />Nays: None

<br />The following reports from the City Manager were presented:
<br />
<br /> 79-448 "Consideration of an ordinance on first reading to appropriate $15,000 from
<br />the Capital improvements Fund for capital improvement contingencies.
<br />
<br /> The Capital Improvements Program for 1979/80 has $78,000 in the Contingency Account
<br />for capital projects and misceltanous capital improvement items. The appropriation of
<br />$15,00,0~at .%his time is necessary in order to pay interest due on off~ite drainage assessment
<br />which are to be refunded. The refunds will be covered in the next agenda item. It is
<br />estimated that approximately $9,000 will be required to pay interest on the refunds in
<br />accordance with the proposed settlement. The City Manager recommends adoption on first
<br />reading."
<br />
<br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Gray, the following ordinance was approved
<br />on first reading, and by unanimous vote:
<br />
<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $15,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR
<br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT CONTINGENCIES."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mr. Gray, that authorization be granted to refund
<br />over-assessment to Chart House, Inc. for $5,628.12 and Yorkshire Square Associates for
<br />$26,145.60, including interest, as requested, and was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br />
<br /> 79-450 "Consideration of an ordinance on first reading to appropriate S700,000 from
<br />the Capital Improvements Fund for the Step Il~sign Phase, on the Pinners Point Sewage
<br />treatment Plant's secondary upgrading, The State Water Control Board has agreed to the
<br />cost, and has approved a grant amendment to cover the additional cos~ included in the appro-
<br />priation.
