352 January 8, 1980 Board of Examination of Plumbers William S. Sledge, William E. Ellsworth, to be appointed for a term of two years, expiri~ January 1, 1982; Roderick Triplett, III to be reappointed for a term of two years, expiring January 1, 1982. Mr. Sledge and Mr. Ellsworth replaced James A. Fullwood and William Pearson Housing Board of Adjustments & Appeals Rev. Emory E. Byrum and Bernard gevitin to be reappointed for a term of three years, expiring January 1, 1983. Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court - Advisory Council Sterling Weaver and Rev. Thomas Steele to be appointed, Mr. Weaver for a three year term expiring January 1, 1983, replacing Rev. S. L. Carruth; Rev. Steele for an unexpired term, ending JaAuary 1, 1981, replacing Edward Brown. Emergency Medical Services Advisory Commission Dr. Harry Jenkins to be appointed as a citizen-at-large, for a term of three years, ending July 31, 1982; Dr. Carl Root as an Ex-Officio, representing the Healt~ Department. Patrick Henry Hospital Board Dr. John Jackson appointed to replace Hugh L. Chedester, who resigned. Board of Architectural Review P~ymond H. Strople to be appointed to'fill an unexpired term, ending May 1, 1981, created by the resignation of Vincent L. Parker; Mrs. Lucy Overton as the Truxtun Historic District appointee, term of office to begin May 1, 1981. Mosquito Control Commission - West Portsmouth T. O. Eaton to be appointed, replacing M. G. Pendleton, who retired. Motion of Mr. Oast and seconded by Mr. Gray, to further nominations, the above members to be elected was adopted by unanimous vote. close nominations, to the designated and there being no Board/Commission, and 80-27 - Mr. Oast referred to the letter of December 17, 1979 £rom the City Attorney regarding VHDA financing of multi-family projects. (See Exhibit 80-27) Motion of Mr. Oast and seconded by Mr. Barnes, (1) the matter to be referred to the City Manager for a recommendation; (2) that in the interim that we write a letter to the state ~geney'edvising that we do object pending an opportunity to consider the matter £urther. Substitute motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Beamer, that the staff find out whether ~r nOt'a delay can be held or, that in the alternate, if a delay cannot be obtained, that we call a special meeting under our regular procedure for calling a special meeting, and was adopted by unanimous vote.
