Coren'e Robertson, 1244 Summit Avenue~ spoke on conditions on Summit Avenue in Brighton area regarding promised repairs to a dip in the street, drainage problems, trash and garbage on the street. Complaint with high water bill and storm water bill for one person. 3. Lassie McAIston, 1237 Portsmouth Boulevard, spoke on high water bill for one person. Fledges between Oak and Elm Streets are not taken care of. If they are not going to be taken care of proPerly, they shoUld be cut down. Linda Kuhlman, 712 Potomac Avenue, spoke on bulk trash and old windows that were picked-up after a call to City Manager's office, but did not pick-up trash across the street. Condition of Potomac Avenue with cave-ins. Refrigerator behind a beauty salon on Hartford Street has been there for months. A television on Cambridge Avenue was there for weeks and children demolished it.. Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to go into Closed Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia, to discuss or consider the following: - to discuss the acquisition or sale of real property for a public purpose, as authorized by paragraph A.3, with the subject properties being in downtown and southwest areas of the City. Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant to Section 2.1- 344.1 of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Closed Meeting was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
