Furnish the City Council preliminary <br />estimates of revenue for 1981-82 on or before 1st City Council meeting in December. City <br />Council can then advise School Board, operating departments and other public agencies for <br />planning purposes for their 1981-82 budgets, and was adopted by unanimous vo~e. <br /> <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> 80-391 Durvin P. Cromwell, 2820 Hyman Street, representing Hattonsville Civic League, <br />continued to complain about the conditions of the streets in the Hattonsville area. <br /> <br />The City <br /> <br />Manager responded to Mr. Cromwell. <br /> <br /> 80-392 Ms. Eunia Booth, 176 Allard Road, stated that she owns the property on the <br />corner of Allard Road and Gust Lane and that part of a lot next to her property she has kept <br />clean for a number of years. At present cars are being parked on the lot and she would ap- <br />preciate some help in keeping the cars from parking. <br /> <br />The City Manager's Office will look into the matter and contact Ms. Booth. <br /> <br /> 80-393 Vice Mayor offered the following nominations for appointments to Boards/ <br />Commissions: <br /> <br />Commission of Architectural Review <br /> <br /> Kent B. Johnson, Jr. to fill an une×pired term, ending May 1, 1981, created by the <br />vacancy of Mrs. Helen Hennessy. <br /> <br />Law Library Board <br /> <br /> Judge Archie Elliott, Jr. for a term ~f four years, expiring November 1 1984, <br />Judge Robert F. McMurran. ' <br /> <br /> Patrick Henry Hospital Board <br /> <br /> Harold C. Watkins to replace R. E. Bridges who left the City. <br /> <br /> Tidewater Community College Board <br /> <br /> Kathryn T. Gravatt to fill an unexpired term, ending July 1 1981 created by the <br />vacancy of Paul Pendorf. ' ' <br /> <br /> On motion Mr~ Barnes and seconded by Mr. <br />no further nominations, <br />and was <br /> <br />replacing <br /> <br />adopted <br /> <br /> the above members <br />by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Gray, to close nominations, and there being <br />to be elected to the designated Board/Commissicn, <br /> <br /> 80-394 Councilman Gray commented on the "Hunting and Fishing Days" held at City Park <br />on September 27 and 28, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the Parks and Rezreation <br />Commission, which he visited on September 27. It was a very successful outing and had some <br />nice exhibits and Mr. Gray commended all t~ose who participated in this event. <br /> <br /> 80-395 Motion of Mrs. Webb Rnd seconded by Mr. Gray, to go into an executive session <br />to discuss the following, and was adopted by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />(A) USE OF PUBLIC PROPERTY <br /> <br />(1) Proposed Sale of Property <br />(2) Waterfront <br />(3) Proposed Public Improvements <br /> <br /> <br />
