<br /> 81-307 On motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mrs. Webb, the following resolution ap-
<br />proved on first reading the regular meeting August 25, 1981, was adopted and by the following

<br /> "A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL POR A GROUP HOUSING PROJECT PURSUANT TO SECTION
<br /> 40-55 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, AS AMENDED, SAID
<br /> PROJECT BEING KNOWN AS "CYPRESS COVE VILLAS, PHASE IV" AND DE.SIGNATED AS GHP-81-3.
<br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Enterprises, Inc. has made application pursuant to Section 40-55
<br />of the Code~ of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, as amended, for the granting and
<br />approval of a group housing project kncwn as "Cypress Cove Villas, Phase IV".
<br /> WHEREAS, the application has been determined by the Planning Commission to have met
<br /> requirements of Section 40-55, Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, as amended;
<br /> and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed such application and site plans submitted
<br /> therewith and has recommended approval of said application; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the developer has been informed that approval of the group housing project
<br /> pursuant to said Section 40-55 grants only an exemption from certain requirements for
<br /> residences as stated in said Section and does not constitute a waiver of any ether requirement
<br /> emb_odied in the Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance, the ~ode of the City of Portsmouth
<br /> or any other applicable State or Federal iaws or regulations; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the developer is aware that building permits and or any other required
<br /> permit will be issued only upon compliance with the ordinances, laws, or regulations applicable
<br /> thereto.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br />that the certain group housing project known as "Cypress Cove Villas, Phase IV" and des2gnated
<br />as GHP-81-3, and more specifically shown on plans prepared by Dan E. Griffin, A.I.A.,
<br />filed with the appropriate officials of the City of Portsmouth and made a part hereof, is
<br />hereby grante& approval."

<br />and equipment for the new Winchester Drive Fire Station. Construction is running approximatel'
