7. 1-264 Exit:Ramp - New exit ramp westbound k264 to Elmhurst Lane and <br /> closure of existing westbound ramp at Greenwood Drive/' <br /> <br />Ayes: Berm, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst, Holley <br /> Nays: None <br /> <br /> 01 - 212 - Adoption of a motion to transfer $104,093 from the Grants Contingency <br /> Account to fund the USDA Summer Food Program. <br /> <br /> An estimated 1095 meals per day (breakfasts and lunches) will be served at <br /> twelve sites throughout the City from July 2nd through August 15th for youths in <br /> Iow-income communities. No local match is required. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to transfer $104,093 <br />from the Grants Contingency Account to fund the USDA Summer Food Program, and <br />was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Berm, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst, Holley <br /> Nays: None <br /> <br /> - New Business - <br /> <br /> 01 - 213 - Boards and Commissions <br /> <br />There were no appointments. <br /> <br /> 01 - 214 - Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br />> Councilman Whitehurst reflected on various newspaper articles he found to be <br /> offensive. <br /> <br /> > Vice Mayor reflected on ribbon cuttings and the past week's activities. <br /> <br /> 01 -215 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Mark-Geduldig-Yatrofsky, 363 Middle Street, spoke on keeping citizens informed <br /> and allowing citizens to participate in City government. <br /> <br />2. J. Brewer Moore, 308 Bobby Jones Drive, spoke on Portsmouth under five flags. <br /> <br />3. Linwood E. Powell, 2672 Barclay Avenue, spoke on sewer improvements in his <br /> neighborhood. <br /> <br />4. Louis Whitehead, 4415 County Street, spoke on street improvements to Winchester <br /> Drive. <br /> <br />5.
