<br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has agreed to pay the sum of
<br /> Three Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty Dollars ($3,530.) for the transfer of said property.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that
<br />the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey the hereinafter-described property
<br />to Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, with the buildings and
<br /> improvements thereon, situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br /> being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at the northeast corner of South and Washington Streets; and from
<br /> thence running east along South Street SO' to the line of the land now or form-
<br /> erly belonging to William Brooks; thence N 113'; thence W 50'; thence South
<br /> along Washington Street 1OO' to the Point of Beginning.

<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute
<br />such deeds and other documents as may be necessary to complete this transaction."

<br /> 82-131 "Consideration of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to convey City-owned
<br />property to the Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority (west side of Reed Avenue extended

<br /> A firm currently leasing space in Portsmouth is interested in acquiring property in the
<br />Hattonsville section for industrial development. Fhe transfer of this propez~)- to Portsmouth
<br />Industrial Development Authority will facilitate the acquisition of the necessary land for
<br />this company in order that they may construct their own facility in Portsmouth The City
<br />Manager recommends adoption.' '

<br /> On motion of Mr. Oast and seconded by Mr. Gray, the following resolution was adopted,
<br />and by the following vote:

<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth owns certain hereinafter-described
<br />on the west side of Reed Avenue Extended in the Hattonsville Industrial
<br />
<br />real property located
<br />Development area; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth has requested~
<br />that said property be transferred to the Industrial Development Authority for the purpose of
<br />locating an industrial facility in the City of Portsmouth; and
<br />
<br />of the City of Portsmouth has agreed to pa)

<br /> WHEREAS, the Industrial Development Authority

<br /> NOW, tHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City Of Portsmouth, Virginia, that
<br />the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey to the Industrial Development
<br />Authority of the City of Portsmouth certain real property located on the west side of Reed
<br />Avenue Extended, said property being more particularly bounded and described as follows:

<br /> WEST SIDE OF REED AVENUE EXTENDED
<br />
<br /> Beginning at a point on the west side of Reed Avenue Extended, said point being
<br /> 200' south of the southwestern intersection of Reed Avenue and Ballard Avenue;
<br /> thence from said point of beginning west and parallel with Ballard Avenue a dis-
<br /> tance of 200' to a point on the boundary of property now or formerly owned by
<br /> Lincoln Precast Corporation; thence south along the boundary of the property now
<br /> or formerly owned by Lincoln Precast Corporation and parallel with Reed Avenue
<br /> Extended, a distance of 100' to a point; thence east and parallel with Ballard
<br /> Avenue, a distance of 200' to a point on the western boundary of Reed Avenue
<br /> Extended; thence north along the boundary of Reed Avenue Extended, a distance
<br /> of 100' to the point of beginning.
