This use permit is approved subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br /> (a) The property shall be used for a facility for cutting, slicing, grinding, <br />processing and packaging of meats, wholesale distribution and retail sales on the premises. <br /> <br /> (b) The applicant shall meet the requirements for the meat processing plant as <br />set forth by the Department of Federal Meat and Poultry Inspection of the U. S. Savage, Minister, made an <br />application pursuant to Section 40-71(b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1973, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter-described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be <br />done in connection with said application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of said use permit. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter-described is sought: <br /> <br /> (a) Will not adversely affect the health and safety of persons residing or working <br />in the neighborhood of the proposed use; <br /> <br /> (b) Will not be detrimental to the public use or injurious to the property or <br />improvements in the neighborhood; and <br /> <br />(c) Will be in accordance with the purposes of the Zoning Chapter of the City <br /> <br />Code. <br /> <br /> 2. This use permit is approved subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br /> (a) That the applicant will comply with all codes, <br />Commercial C-2 Zoning District requirements relating to the <br />Worship. <br /> <br />ordinances and regulations of <br />construction of a House of <br /> <br /> (b) That the use permit will be considered revoked unless building construction <br />permits are issued and construction of the renovations to the present structure on the <br />property as a temporary church facility are under way within one (1) year from the date of <br />the approval of this application. <br /> <br /> <br />
