<br /> (f) OX motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Barnes, to concur in the recommendation of the
<br />Planning Commission, the following ordinance to rezone &n~area of the Port Norfolk section
<br />bounded by Bayview Boulevard on the north; portions of Chautauqua and Maryland Avenues on the
<br />east; portions of Woodrow and Hartford Streets on the south; and portions of Florida and
<br />Douglas Avenues and properties along Hull's Creek on the west, from Residential R-60 and R-60
<br />and Commercial C-1 and C-2 to Historic Residential HR and Historic Limited Business HLB, was
<br />~p~o~e~ on first reading and to be effective immediately from date of adoption on April 26,
<br />1983, was adopted by unanimous vote:

<br /> Motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mr. Gray, that the Planning Commission look into
<br />expanding the boundaries in the PortcNorfolk Historical District, and was adopted by unanimou
<br />vote.
<br /> (g) On motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Barnes, to concur in the recommendation of the
<br />Planning Commission, CA 83-2, ordinance to amend Section 40-93 including the Port Norfolk
<br />Historic District, was approved on first reading, and by unanimous vote.
<br /> (h) Use Permit UP 83-2 - Petition of Goldstitcher Properties, LTD, Owner, by the Reverend
<br /> Leroy Daniels, Pastor of Gilead Baptist Church.
<br />
<br /> The following request was received:
<br /> "I would like to notify you that I, Pastor Leroy Daniels, and the Gilead Baptist Church
<br />would like to withdraw our application for a use permmt at 3404 Deep Creek Blvd. Signed by
<br />Rev. Leroy Daniels, Jr."
<br /> Motion of Mr. Beamer and seconded by Mr. Barnes, request be granted, and the petition
<br />UP 83-2 was withdrawn, and was adopted by unanimous ~te.

<br /> (i) CA 83-1 An ordinance to amend Sectiona 4C-135 and 40-138
<br /> dimensional rec_uirements in the following zoning
<br /> R-100, R-75, R-75-S, OR-75, R-60 and R-60-A.
<br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Beamer, ordinance to amend
<br /> through 4-138 to provide for residential dimensional requirements in zoning
<br /> as stated, was approved on first reading, and was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br /> Motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mr. Barnes that the~City Attorney furnish a legal
<br />opinion before second reading as to the validity of adopting these minimnm dimensional require
<br />ments based on some decisions that occurred in other jurisdictions relative to this tyFe of
<br />ordinance, and was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 1983 to discuss the following:
