The Documentation contains a historical summary of Community Development activities <br />as well as an outline of activities to be conducted under the 1983 program. The program in- <br />cludes the continuation of ongoing revitalization activities in the Crawford, Hattonsville, <br />and Southside project areas. Additionally~ conservation activities will continue in the <br />Cradock and Tru×ton neighborhoods. <br /> <br /> The City's Community ~3De'velopment Entitlement has continuously declined in recent years. <br />The 1983 entitlement of $2,270,000 represents a reduction of approximatley $139,000 from the <br />1982 grant. <br /> <br /> As identified in the chart below, the 1983 Community Development Program will total <br />$2,797,205. This figure includes $409,000 in program income and $118,205 in previously ap- <br />propriated funds. I therefore, <br />recommend your approval of the 1983 Community Development Program and the necessary appro- <br />priation.'' <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mr. Gray, the following ordinance was approved <br />on first reading, and by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $2,679,000 FROM THE COFfMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND <br />FOR THE 1983 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM." <br /> <br /> <br />
