<br /> "Attached is a letter from Roger Pierce, Vice President of Cox Cable, asking for an
<br /> extension of their interim basic rate increase until July 1, 1983. In v~ew of the fact that
<br /> Council is in the midst of its budget review, and since Cox is now meeting with the iocal citi
<br /> on the copyright issue, I would recommend that the extension be granted."

<br /> 83-150 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of ~n ordinance on first
<br />reading to appropriate $147,587 for improvements to th~ Pinners Point Sewage Treatment Plant
<br />which are required in order to mee~ State requirements. '

<br /> "As part of the current improvements to the Pinners Point Sewage Treatment Plant, the City
<br />has recently received bids for modifications to nine secondary pumping stations. The majority
<br />of the work on the station is required to meet state and code requirments.
<br />
<br /> The low bidder, out of seven firms submitting proposals, was T. A. Sheets, with a bid
<br />of $134,170. The following is a listing of the bids received:

<br />award Of the contract to the low bidder, and I concur in that recommendation."

<br />first reading, and the City Manager be authorized to award the bid to the lowest responsible
<br />bidder, and was adopted by unanimous vote:
