Ray Spruill and David S. Peck to be appointed for a term of 1 year, beginning July 1 <br />1983. · <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Holley and seconded by Mrs. Webb, to close nominations and there being <br />no further nominations, the above members to be elected to the designated Boards/Commissions <br />and was adopted by unanimous vote. , <br /> <br /> 83-186 J.P. C. Hanbury, 208 Washington Street, spoke concerning the decrease in <br />support to EVMS and urged Council to reconsider support to EVMS. <br /> <br /> to <br /> Councilman Whitlow asked the City Manager/prepare possible alternative way of providing <br />additional funding in the budget for EVMS. ~ <br /> <br /> 8~)- Councilman Barnes asked the City Manager to look into the possibility of <br />guaranteeing full funding to the Children's Museum in the event they are not able to raise <br />the $35,000 they need.
