<br />from the Virginia State Library to continue operation of a project which will convert the
<br />manua2,natalog system to an automated one which is tied directly into the State Union Catalog.
<br />This conversion will significantly reduce personnel costs associated with manual cataloging of
<br />new acquisitions and will increase the efficiency with which books and other material are cir-
<br />culated between local branches.

<br />portation Safety, that the City's Traffic Engineering Division has been awarded a grant of $3,
<br />to upgrade its accident reporting system. This enhancement will permit the production of
<br />accident management summaries needed for engineering analysis, development of ro~dwgy safety
<br />improvements, slective enforcement by police officers of high-accident locations, and other
<br />related highway safety efforts.
