<br /> That the City Attorney be, and he hereby is, directed to institute eminent domain pro-

<br />Virginia, for the purpose of acquiring fee simple title therein, together with any and all
<br />easements of access, light or amr incident to the lands of the landowner abutting upon said
<br />property, in accordance with, and pursuant to, ~2.06, 2.07 and 2.08 of the Charter of the
<br />City o£ P~rtsmouth, Virginia~ as amended, and to deposi~ to the credit of the Clerk of the
<br />Circuit C~urt of the City of Portsmouth as provided by law the sum hereinafter specified to
<br />compens~ate th~ o~ners of the property designated as Parcel ~ on that certain plat entitled
<br />"Plat Sho~ing PY~pos'ed Right-of-Way Expansion For West Norfolk Road", dated July il, 1983,
<br />prepared by the Engineering & Technical Services Department of the City of Portsmouth,
<br />Virginia,.recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth,
<br />Virgini~in'~M'ap Book 12, pages 68 through 71, both inclusive.

<br /> WHEREAS, the City has not been able to purchase the property described her~in, necessary
<br />to the project, because the owners thereof and the City have not been able t~ agree upon th~
<br />price to be paid therefor; and

<br />if said~property is not made available for the project as soon as posslbl~v~

<br />NO}7?,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia:
