Rowe and Richard P. <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />application of Rachel Benzie, by Developers Michael <br />Molenaar, for 10 condominium units at 484 Florida <br /> <br /> Kirk Berkeley, Architect, 445 Middle Street, representing Rowe and Molenaar, spoke in <br />support Of GHP 83-7. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mrs. Webb, to concur in the recommendation of the <br />Planning Commission, GHP 83-7 to erect 10 condominium units at 484 Florida Avenue, was <br />approved on first reading, and by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />(i) CA 83-16 - A proposal to amend Section 40-48(3) pertaining to construction require- <br /> ments for improvements of parking lots. <br /> <br /> William Dorow, 3415 County Street, spoke in opposition to the ordinance as he was con- <br />cerned on the cost of paving lots for the small business man which could cause a hardship. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br />and seconded by Mr. Whitlow, to concur in <br /> <br />the recommendation of the <br /> <br /> Council discussed the concerns raised by the speaker, as well as the broad discretion <br />contained in the proposed ordinance. <br /> <br /> The City Manager indicated that he would work with the City Attorney on new language <br />that wQ~l~sa,tisfy Council's concerns. <br /> <br /> On motion CA 83-16 was approved on first reading, as recommended, and was adopted by <br />6-1(Holley-Nay) vote. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 9:00 p.m. for 10 minutes. <br /> <br />~g <br /> <br /> <br />
