84-67 - Yuonne Mich, 15 Peachtree Street, and..Bob~Ddnning, 2508 LaFu~no Road, Chesapeake, <br />requested that Council to direct the City Manager to issue a bingo permit for Debra of America <br /> <br /> Councilman Whitlow advised that it was a legal matter and the Council could not knowingl) <br />violate the law. <br /> <br /> 84-68 David Coburn, 3500 Westminister Drive, representing Windsor Homes, complained <br />of trash service in the Windsor Homes area. (See~Exhibit 84-67) <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Whitlow, that the matter be referred to the <br />City Manager and a report be furnished to the complainant, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 84-69 - The City Clerk read letters from Mr. & Mrs. Herman S. Brinkley, 829 Jewell Avenue <br />and Alfred L.. Vann, 825 Jewell Avenue, concerning drainage in the Simonsdale area. <br />(See Exhibits 84-69) <br /> <br />Councilman Barnes requested that the letters be referred to the CitY Manager. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Holley and seconded by Mrs. Webb, to suspend the rule for Joseph Knight~ <br />to speak, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Joseph Knight, 4820 Portsmouth Boulevard, spoke regarding drainage in the Simonsdale <br />area. <br /> <br /> 84-70 - Motion of Mr. Whitlow and seconded by Mrs. Webb, to go into an executive session <br />to discuss the following, and was adopted by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />(1) Use, Sale, or Acquisition of Public Property; <br />(2) Consultation and Briefing on Legal Matters <br /> including Contracts and Litigation; <br />(3) A Personnel Matter; <br />(4) Boards and Commissions. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br />APPROVED - ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
