<br /> 84-74 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of a resolution approving the
<br /> I984 Community Devolopment Program of the City, the modified proposed~statement of objectives
<br /> and use of funds, the uniform displacement policy, a proposed amendment to the urgent ~eeds
<br /> program for Park View, and authorizing the filing of documents required to obtain the City's
<br /> 1984 Community Development Block Grant Entitlement and approval of the Urgent Needs Amendment
<br />
<br /> "Attached for your information is the 1984 Community Development Block Grant Appropria-
<br />tion package. The documentation contains an historical summary of Community Development
<br />activities as well as an outline of activities to be c~nducted under the 1984 program, which
<br />was the subject of a Public Hearing on February 14, 1984.
<br />
<br /> As a result of that hearing, and in re.sponse to the request from the Twin Pines Communit
<br />I am supporting the recommendation made by the Board of Commissioners of PRHA at their meetin
<br />of February 21, 1984, that an additional $50,000 be allocated for the acquisition of four
<br />properties in extremely poor condition and the relocation of those residents. Additionally,
<br />I have requested that City and PRHA staff work with the Twin Pines Civic League to evaluate
<br />the need for street and utility work in the area.
<br />
<br /> An Appropriation Ordinance is enclosed for your review. This appropriation includes the
<br />anticipated 1984 Entitlement of $2,090,670, which represents a reduction of $179,330 from last
<br />year's allocation. The total funds available are as follows:
