R. Coady, for Personal Property Taxes paid for the year 1983. <br /> <br /> "The Commissioner of the Revenue is requesting a refund of 1983 Personal Property Taxes <br />for Shirley B. R. Coady, 4513 Buckingham Road, in the amount of $78.78. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Coady paid personal property on a 1976 Chevrolet Pick-up in error, the vehicle was <br />sold in June of 1982, therefore, mrefund of $78.78 is due. <br /> <br />recommend that Council adopt this motion, and a refund be granted." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Gray and seconded by Mr. Beamer, that authorization be granted to refund <br />to Shirley B. Brewer Moore, 308 Bobby Jones Drive, spoke conerning retirement benefits <br />under VSRS. <br /> <br /> 84-164 - James E. Bridgeford, 1220 Jamal Lane, representing United Civic League of <br />Cavalier Manor, Inc., spoke concerning the possibility of a toxic chemical waste site being <br />planned in Chesapeake near Cavalier Manor, and asked for Council's support to contact Chesapeat <br />to try to deter the matter. <br /> The City Manager was asked to look into the matter. <br /> 84-165 - Councilman Barnes requested the City Manager and City Attorney to look into <br />considering a resolution regarding ~e~u~q~pG~a~ke Bay. <br /> <br /> Councilman Barnes asked the City Manager to look into enlarging the Naval Shipyard Museum. <br />and a report be furnished on what action Council might take to provide the additional space. <br /> <br /> 84-166 - Councilwoman Webb asked the City Manager to furnish a master plan for all pro- <br />posal~ for the athletic fields in Churchland and see a survey of the land behind the Chu~chlan <br />Stadium; and timetable on what will be done for temporary use of the fields while moving into <br />one school and tearing down tSe other. <br /> <br /> 84-167 - Motion of Mrs. Webb and seconded by Mr. Barnes, to go xnto an executive session <br />for the purpose of discussing Public Property, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br />APPROVED - ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
